Question - LINQ 2 Pages in R2?

Unfortunately, no link support for pages has been implemented in the R2 release but we're currently looking into it for the next release.

Hey guys, did anything ever come from the promising LINQ 2 Pages work and has it been considered for addition into R2?

With visitor groups I feel that being able to quickly query the page database will be needed more and more often and this will make things really quick/easy when implementing custom solutions. I know there have been improvements in FindPagesWithCritera but wondered if this came up for any consideration?
