Access denied in edit mode only

Hello,

Some of of users, within the edit mode get a message...

Access denied

You do not have sufficient rights to view this page.

However, they can press the edit tab and edit the page, and when they press save, back to the message above.

Any ideas of any settings I need to tweak?

Can you check Access rights for that page in Admin -> Access Right -> Set Access Rights? It's possible to set "Edit" permissions without "Read" one.

Is this a standard site? Couldn't be that "somebody" other than EPiSever is inspecting page save events and possibly throwing AccessDeniedException?

An other guess is that the page is refering to an other page, block or similar that the user does not have access rights to?
