I managed to circumvent the installation exception (see previous post) by reinstalling without installing a database. However, when logging on to the initial setup page (/MyEPiUI/admin/setup.aspx), I receive the exception stated above. Environment: Virtual Win 2k3 server with Framework 3.0 Virtual MS SQL 2000 server Please advice.

Problem solved! My esteemed colleague, Christer Ottosson, hinted me to aspnet_regsql.exe located in: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\
