If you have installed your site using EPiServer Manager, you can log in using your local Windows administrator account.
After you are logged in, you can install the basic content to be used on your EPiServer site. Here you can decide which system language you want the site to have and whether you want to install the site with globalized templates, monolingual templates or no templates at all. It is recommended that you install with globalized templates in order to get the most out of your evaluation version of EPiServer.
The startpage can be set by changing the pageStartId value in the site settings section of web.config.
I don't have a password for Windows and I didn't use the Episerver Manager. I installed it directly to Visual Studio.
I also tried to install version 4.6B, but when I got to the part of the database I got problems.
I chose my database-server and could see the databases I have there. I then try to create a new user but a popup says: Specified SQL server not found. I use SQL express.
Are you sure the database field says SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS ? And that your SQL server accepts remote connections?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that is correct.
It can however be the second thing you said, the remote connection not being enabled.
Yes, that's been my problem whenever I had problems installing on my sqlexpress server.

I don't understand what name and password you should enter. Also I wonder how to set a startpage in Visual Studio?
Would also like to know if there is a demosite installed?
