Trouble opening site in Visual Studio

Vote:

Hi,

I´ve just started to learn EPiServer. I have managed to make an EPiServer-site through Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition without any template following the instructions in EPiServer CMS SDK Documentation.

Then I tried to install a site with database through the Installation Manager. I seems to work ok, the files are made, but I can not open this site in Visual Web afterwards. First I just tried to double-click the .csproj-file, but nothing happens. Then I tried to open it from Visual Web but then I get this message:

"The local IIS URL http://localhost/ specified for Web project JungleSite has not been configured. In order to open this project the virtual directory needs to be configured. Would you like to create the directory now? Yes or No."

If I say No nothing happens and no project opens. If I say Yes I get this message:

"Creation of the virtual directory http://localhost/ failed with the error: The URL http://localhost/ is already mapped to a different folder location"

I´ve been following the instructions here: http://www.frederikvig.com/2009/12/part-1-setting-up-the-development-environment-create-an-episerver-site-from-scratch/. The only differens is that I have not changed localhost to jungle as he says under "Installing the site". I want to still use localhost and that cant be it, or ... ?

Never mind! I found out at the bottom of this page: http://world.episerver.com/Documentation/Items/Installation-Instructions/EPiServer-CMS/EPiServer-CMS-5-R2-Installation-Instructions/#Opening%20Public%20Templates%20Project that I should try change the UseIIS attribute to false in the .csproj file and that did it, but I might be back with more questions ...

So long!
