Image attribute to Blog entry

A community beginner question...
I would like to connect an Image to every Blog Entry. I tried creating a ImageGallery.Image type attribute for Blog.Entry, but it doesn't show up under attributes. Maybe ImageGallery.Image isn't the right type to choose, but I couldn't find any other built in Image attribute type.
