Installing on Windows 8

Hey there,

On my dev machine I run Windows 8. I have EPiServer 6 R2 installed and running happily using these instructions
http://dotnetcake.blogspot.co.nz/2012/06/installing-episerver-6-r2-on-windows-8.html

Now I need Composer 4.0 installed, but the installer show the message:
EPiServer CMS 6.0.530.0 must be installed to install
'EPiServer Composer 4.0'

But EPiServer CMS 6 is installed?

Any ideas?

Cheers!

That´s for EPiServer CMS 6 R1, you installed CMS 6 R2. To install Composer for EPiServer CMS 6 R2 you need Composer 4 R2.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that! Its all working now.

I just assumed http://world.episerver.com/en/Download/Other-products/EPiServer-Composer/ would show the latest release automatically!

But in fact it shows "EPiServer Composer 4.0".

You have to choose "EPiServer Composer 4 R2" in the drop down.
