It would be nice to have a way to inform the editors when doing maintenance work in production environment. When web.config is changed or the DLL is replaced, the editors session is lost, and so is their ongoing work. The editors could be informed of scheduled maintenance by: - Having a tool for sending a notification by e-mail to all editors - Displaying a message in edit mode, for example in the top frame or in a popup dialog - Adding a maintenance message view on the root page. If I remember correctly, this kind of feature exists in OpenCMS.
