You need to have the component for Advance File Upload installed and activated. This can be done under Root folder/Components.

Look under Root folder/Components, the component should be visible there and available for installation (ActiveX component). Note though, the component will only work with Internet Explorer 7 if you have had the component installed and running with IE 6 before you upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.

Hi. You need the IE7 compatibility fix for Client components. See the link below. http://www.episerver.com/en/EPiServer_Knowledge_Center/News--Information/News-Knowledge-Center/Changes-made-to-EPiServer-templates-for-IE7-compatibility/

I noticed someone else commented this, Look under Root folder/Components, the component should be visible there and available for installation (ActiveX component). Note though, the component will only work with Internet Explorer 7 if you have had the component installed and running with IE 6 before you upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. We have a client that cannot accept this. They will be running internet explorer 7 only. How can I resolve this issue? I have applied the 'IE7 compatibility fix for Client components', but this does not affect the activex component that the user downloads when they are on the 'components' tab in edit mode. Why does the activex component need to be applied to internet explorer 6 first? Is it the same activex component as ie7? Can we download an apply an activex component manually?

Any new status on this issue would be very much appreciated. We are facing the same problem, restricting installation of the EPiServer Client Components on IE 7. The “Install version 1.1” button is disabled under the Components tab. Regards, Leif

Are you using Windows Vista? Our project manager has the same problem, tho it only appears on Vista. Works perfectly on my XP installation.
