Email Template Preview Does Not Work

I am trying to view and/or revise email templates but the variables do not render correctly. I'd like to be able to preview my design implementation, and get approval from CX before migrating to production, so this is sort of an important feature I'd like to make use of.

I'd post a screen shot, but I can't. I'm excluded from doing so.

Basically, the preview will print things like this:

[% if Model.LogoImagePath != null and Model.LogoImagePath != "" -%]

Company Logo

[% endif -%]
