Hi!
Some questions regarding the new file/media management in EpiServer 7.5.
We have a hierarchy of folders in EpiServer 7, where we've devided content into four different categories (lets say "News Images", "Article content", "Attachments" and "Generated Files"). Each folder can vary depth from 0 to N. Some categories have alot of content (e.g. images) as direct children.
When migrating our structure to the new media based system, we see that the top level (e.g. Attachments) is omitted and it's content is added directly on the structure root. This leads to us having a lot of unstructured content on our root. It seems that all VPP main directories (added through config) are removed as directories in the new media system. Is this per design, and if so is there any way of holding on to our structure. Could a possible workaround be to - before migrating - insert a duplication folder as a layer between the existing categories and it's content?
In addition, how is now hidden folders handled? In our example, "Generated Files" is a directory used to store generated files (like scaled thumnails etc.). As far as I can see, there is a better solution for thumbs in 7.5, but we should still probably store the existing data, or will thumbnails be automaticly generated, thus obsoleting our generated thumbnails?
Thanks for your help and feedback!
