Visual Studio Express 2012 extension problem

Vote:

Hello

I installed the EPiServer extension for visual studio 2012 express for web.

I select EPiServer Web Site and press install, it launches the EPiServer deployment center and starts installing a site. So far so good.

However when it returns to Visual Studio express i get this error

Does anybody know what causes this and how to fix it? It seems like the site is "installed" but it does not show up in my existing solutions so i am not able to use the templates from the extension.

I've never used Visual Studio Express for developing EPiServer and I don't know if it's a bug or anything so this is just a shot in the dark.

Did you run VS as administrator?

I just attempted to run as administrator and the problem unfortunatly still persists. Thanks for the tip though.

Is there a reason you are not using the latest version? You can find a download link for Express here: http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/4ad95160-e72f-4355-b53e-0994d2958d3e

Yes, the extension does not register with 2013, only 2012.

If i tried to install it with only 2013 version i only got the message "no applicable version of visual studio found".
