Strange links to images /link/...

I have noticed that in one of our sites that is an upgrade from 6 to 7 and then to 7.5 all the urls to the images looks like this: http://site/link/[IMAGEGUID].aspx?id=[IMAGEID] and when opening that link in a browser I get a 301 and the "real" url to the image.

I saw that is the same for some images here on word, for example the logo (http://world.episerver.com/link/5274fc34923e4d45882f717b59f34fb7.aspx?id=109817)

Anyone know why it is like this and how to change it to get rid of a lot of 301 requests?

Stupid question of me, thanks K Khan for showing me in the right direction.

Since it is an upgraded site, all images are still the old URL property type...
