Deploy Episerver content from test to production

Hi!

I wonder what is best practise when it comes to deploying content in episerver like texts and also imagevalut pictures that is added to a page. We have the correct data in our test environment, so what is best practis to get that to our production environment when deploying?

Have you looked at Export/Import Data in Episerver admin?

I would suggest to do a some tests before actually importing data to a live site however. You could export the treestructure you want to add to the live site, and then try and import it to the testsite.  I've used the import/export functionality several times, and it haven't failed yet for me.

Good luck :-)

I think that you should never move content in that way automaticly. Test is test and production is production and if you should try to move, you should use Export/Import like Jens says so you can get total control over it so that no test data will hit production.

Hi,

We use to have a separate Staging Enviornment for Editors where Site Editors can see their changes. If you also have that enviornment reday then before going to live try that on Staging first as advised above.
