Admin mode and ie11

I have noticed that admin mode loads with document mode 5 in ie11. Is this default behavior?

Both edit and view mode loads in edge as expected. I am trying to use a admin plugin (scheduled job overview) and it is not working in document mode 5.

I've tested a default site with IE11 and I'm able to see that document mode is set to "5" upon going to Admin mode. Although I'm not sure which admin plugin you're referring to. Is this one of the out-of-the-box plugins or a custom plug-in?
