Hi,

I am trying to import pages from my Acceptance to Production environment. I am using EPiServer CMS 10.3.1 hosted on Azure cloud.

I am getting three errors randomly:

  1. Your connection to the server has been terminted.
  2. The import destination is under root 'WasteBasket' but export was created from 'Root page' which is not a compatible structure.
  3. Nothing happens. even page imported and other properties does not show anything and remains empty.

I all these cases, sometimes few of the pages get imported, and sometimes all the pages get imported. But As it does not show any succesful import message and gives above errors, I am not sure whether the imported pages are correct or not.

I tried to increase executionTimeOut = 7200 in httperuntime tag under, Episerver location.

Does anyone know how to solve this, will be a great help.

Thanks,

Sanket Mahimkar

Hello Sanket

Does the issue described in item 2. only occur if you hit the "Upload and verify file" button?

What versions are affected? In what version is it fixed? We are running 10.5 and have this problem.

We had similar problems once we upgraded to release 150.

The only working solution we found was to downgrade (via our source control) to an earlier release. This didn't have any problems importing 5000+ pages in a few minutes.

Thanks David. I don't think that will work for us though. We went stright from 9 to 10.5. I'd rather not do a major downgrade just to import some content :)

What version did you downgrade to?

With EPiServer commenting on the issue on 23 Mar 2017, I was hoping that a hotfix was already released, or that it was fixed in the latest version. That is what I am trying to have confirmed.

According to my own notes 10.4.1, but I'm not certain.

The date of that version was around the middle of February 2017.

The bugfix have been released in package EPiServer.CMS.UI 10.8.0. The bug did not have correct visibility set therefore it is not seen in release note for that version...
