how to figure out what folder is mapped to virtual path provider

Hi,
We are using EPI CMS version 7. There are Virtual Path Provider are mapped and we can see VPP folders in CMS for Global and Documents. However, we have a difficult time to figure out where the files are actually located in the servers. The guy who set this up is no longer here. We need to do a bulk edit, so it will be much easier if we can copy them at the same time. We tried to use export files feature in CMS but it is broken. It throws an "unexpected error" whenever we try to export.
I checked the config file and it has section which has virtualPath and virtualName attributes but no physicalPath. We found a shared drived name VPP but don't know is it actually the physical location. The drive folder struture is something like this

+ 00
+ aa ef414428-051e-4a86-91a8-32f911420c9f.png
....
+ 01
+ aa
a8fb31d0-a5d8-4db7-b22d-8b434376b54d.jpg
+ DocumentFiles

So, if this is the folder, EPIserver must done something mapping from the real name like that because in the EMS files view, we can see the name like sony.png, iphone.png and so on.
