Yes, I have. Before writing this post I looked for a possible solution in the documentation and I came across this one you just mentioned above.
Unfortunately, it doesn't solve my problem, so it doesn't have enough information on how to do what I need, which is to use EPiServer Notification API to send emails in my custom routine.

I schedule job that I want it to send an email notification when a certain condition is true.
Is there any way to use EPiServer notification to send an email programmatically?
