We recenly came across a problem on a server that has been fine for 2 years. We have a on-prem version of CMS ahead of our DXC Deployment for testing. This problem DOES NOT happen in DXC (integration nor production) nor localhost machines, just this one test VM server.
On the test server, when an admin goes to any CMS Edit page (Admin pages are fine), it is blank and throws a Dojo error. The issue seems to be the JS order of loading. If you enable caching and refresh, then it works on the second load, because the down stream dependencies are then cached and available. But if you disable caching or load only once, the dojo fails.
All sites are running CMS: 11.20.8 Commerce: 13.31
We thought it could be an SSL issue or an HTTP2 issue. i will not go into the details, but we are pretty sure we eliminated those as possiblilities. Is there something in a recent windows upgrade that could be affecting this?
The JS file order is different after about 25 files. The first 25 are the same (except one):
Then after about 25 files, it diverges and there are a lot of CMS JS that is missing:
