Solr 4.5?
At the moment only Solr 3.5 is supported. I would expect Solr 4.x to have breaking changes from 3.5, so it's very likely to be incompatible.
We don't have plan to support Solr 4.x at the moment.

Okay, I see.
The thing is that we would need the join functionality so that we can search for properties in booth products and variations but we only want products as search results.
Any idea how or if that is possible?

I'm trying to find information about weither or not wa can upgrade to Solr 4.5. Is 4.5 supported by CMS and Commerce?
