Cut & Paste Not Working (CMS 11.4.0 & Commerce 11.8.2)

When in the catalog manager interface we can click copy or cut on a variant but when selecting the menu on a different product to copy or move it across the paste icon does not display?

Hi Quan, yes it's the same exact structure. Same parent product as the previous one it's under and it has the option to create that variant type under the node I'm trying to copy to

Yes, I can do it in code. I would have thought that what's the copy/cut and paste is for. Is there any reason it doesn't work for a variant?

Then the UI was designed that way. Product-Variant is not a true parent-child relation like node-entry.

But it is not clear right or wrong, I will raise the question to our UX and see what she has to say.

Thanks Quan, I've built some code that can do it by adding the relations anyhow and remove the old ones so that I can do it in a tool but it would be nice if you could in the UI. Appreciate the help as usual. :-)
