Hi,

We are trying to analyze best commerce tool to pick for our specific requirement. Could you please help if optimizely has the below features ? We couldnt get the info from product documentation.

  1. We have a master catalog and requirement is to create around 50+ seperate stores and each of these store have subset of products from master catalog. Same products can appear in multiple sites. Does optimizely provide option to have single master catalog and use subset in multiple sites?
  2. Does this tool provide option to introduce price rules (say cost + x%)
  3. Is there a way to restrict an admin user's access to one of the store?
  4. Does it provide integration with IAM services for admin users (internal users)

  1. Yes you set up warehouses https://webhelp.optimizely.com/latest/en/commerce/system-administration/adding-a-warehouse.htm which act as a combination of fulfilment centers, pickup locations or delivery locations. You can then allocate inventory levels per warehouse. So you can set up your stores via this as the common way allowing a single catalog with stock levels per store. https://webhelp.optimizely.com/latest/en/commerce/catalog-management/catalog-entry-properties.htm
  2. There are pricing rules for different sales types/groups https://webhelp.optimizely.com/latest/en/commerce/catalog-management/catalog-entry-properties.htm and you can also using the marketing center to use promotions that can affect item, order or shipping level https://webhelp.optimizely.com/latest/en/commerce/marketing/campaignsnew.htm . You also control the cart code in the front end (usually based off examples like QuickSilver) as it's a PASS solution so really you can control discounts applied with whatever business logic you want to write.
  3. CMS access is fully controlled via group access that is controlled in config for access level and in the CMS. Groups can be either controlled in the admin (when using asp.net identity) for from your single sign on provider such as Azure AD or any standard OAuth provider.
  4. It intergrates with a number of systems for access to CMS and Admin and custom code can be written if the provider doesn't support common authentication standards https://world.optimizely.com/documentation/developer-guides/CMS/security/
