Categories problem in multi-language environment (4.60)

I have defined categories for use in a multi language site. The first articles were published with a single-language setting (only US-English). Later i set NO to the default language, and enabled support for 2 languages (NO and EN-US). Categories for a page can now only be defined in the english versions of previously created articles, but the new ones (created after NO was set to default language) work as they are supposed to: categories are defined in the NO-version of pages. Is there any way to get around this problem? I want all pages to have NO as their "primary" language so the categories are defined for this language... Anyway, it seems that it is a good idea to get the language definitions down and ready before you allow content to be created :)
