Setting Up a New EPiServer Site with Visual Studio does not show Editing in Place

Hello,

I have the following environment:

*Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

*Visual Studio development edition SP1

*EPiServer CMS 5 R2 SP1

I have configured the environment and install the templates and demo site and everything works well however, when I configure the SDK and try to set-up the a New EppiServer site with the Visual Studio 2008 everything works fine until the step 9 where I try to verify that I can see the Editing functionality, but it does not show such menu when I right click on the page.

I have logged in and of course create the user that is required but it does not work. I cannot simply see the functionality that I expect as EPiserver does.

Does anybody has tried to set-up the project following the SDK instructions and succeed in the last step. Please let  me know what could be the problem.

Thanks very much

Make sure that your user has Publish access on the page your trying to edit.

Hello Mari,

I don't think that this is the problem because as the following example says

 http://sdk.episerver.com/library/CMS5/Getting%20Started/Setting%20Up%20a%20New%20EPiServer%20Site%20with%20Visual%20Studio.htm?id=24877

the project set-up and user creation shouldn't be a problem. I don't know where you set up the permissions but for this example does not seem to be that.

I mention that this is when you create a fresh project in Visual Studio 2008 with the SDK and is has nothing to do with the Public Demo that comes with EPiServer CMS 5 R2 SP1. That I manage to install and works very well, is the project in Visual Studio that make this trouble. If you know something about this one I would really appreciate to hear it.

Thanks for your post.
