Creating a custom Edit Panel

Hi,

 We created a custom tab in the EditTree that is able to access our third-party e-commerce software. When we select an item in our tree, we would like to be able to access the details of a product in the EditPanel. The product do not have any page associated to them. 

How can I go about doing this?
