How to distinguish between manually and code triggered publishes?
Perhaps by checking on which user that did (or did not) perform the publish?

@Per Unfortunately that's not an option in our case. Is it possible to set some variable that can be read in the handler for the PublishingContent event or something?

As asked in the subject, is it possible to distinguish between manually triggered (using the Edit mode) and code triggered publishes when you hook in to the PublishingContent event?
