How to index external content using Episerver search, NOT Optimizely search & navigation
Their is a Client API to FTS so you should be able to push your own content to it, this is the documentation for when it was originally release for CMS r6 although the same concepts should still apply and even the Assembly name spaces I believe are still the same.

Hi, the question is about a project below,
Optimizely CMS, still running on version 11.
Episerver search (lucene) has been chosen as the search engine for the site.
Unfortunately can't find much information online about how to index external content with episerver search, not Optimizly search & navigation.
Can I use any of the Optimizley's internal wraper for Lucene to index external content with?
