The built-in indexer takes keywords from all properties that are marked as "Searchable property".
MetaKeywords and MetaDescription are Dynamic properties inherited by all pages below the definition and they are not indexed. Unless you define them as a property on each page type and make it searchable.
Personally, I would read up on what Google and other search engines like. Keywords meta tag is not used at all so it is probably a waste of time. And Google dislikes pages with same description so it is probably better to leave out the description if it is not unique for that page than to have the same description on all pages.

Thanks for the reply. The site in question is an intranet så indexing från external search engines is not going to be used on it.

Hi
Does IndexServer utilize any of the fields MetaKeywords or MetaDescription or are they there for more complex search engines?
