EPiServer site pages resulting into HTTP 404 error

Vote:

We are facing a strange problem where a certain pages for particular section of the EPiServer site are resulting into 404 errors.

This is happening intermittently and only for IE6,7 although works fine in FireFox 3.5.4.

We are using EPiServer CMS 5 R1 hosted on Windows 2003 - IIS6

If anyone has any information or face similar issue are most welcome to share their experiences.

We are also facing the similar issue. I'd suggest looking at IIS log files might help.

I've seen this problem as well but not been able to find the solution. Please post any fixes or ideas if you find one :)

It requires a bit more information to say anything but just to check are you using custom error handler  / 404 handler module . Is your custom error page is  generating 404 status code.Whats happens if you turn off all custom errors

If this is happening for documents , make sure VPPs are correctly configure with their relevent location path.So episerver static file handler can process of docs.
