There seem to be a bug in edit mode UI. If you select the all properties view and then switch to another page then the on-page edit view is shown.

You can reproduce this with Alloy MVC and latest NuGet packages

  • login to edit mode
  • select the all properties view
  • navigate to another page
  • notice that still all properties view is displayed
  • click the main menu 'Edit' navigation, the same page is loaded but in on-page edit
  • clicl again the all properties view
  • navigate to another page and notice that again it shows the on-page edit
  • look at your browser address bar
    • the url contains for example /episerver/cms/home/index/#context
    • if the url has the "home/index/" part the on-page edit is always displayed
    • remove the "home/index/" part from address and hit enter
    • now again the all properties view is displayed

This has been reported to Episerver support.
