Autosave does not work, randomly

Trying my best to explain here.

When working with content, sometimes the CMS does not detect changes and the page will not be autosaved.

Because there is no manual save button, you must reload and will lose all your changes.

This happens in for example text inputs, rich text editors and datepickers.

It happens randomly, but too often. Three of our content managers have complained.

I can reproduce in Chrome but not in Firefox (at least not yet).

The browser console does not give any clues.

The App_Data folder does not contain any error logs.

Using version 11.17.

Do you recognize the problem?

How can I keep going forward in solving this?

Is this a matter of having been logged in long enough that you are logged out?

Thank you Kenny, that is not the case. Three admins/editors have reported the same problem. They were logged in, and reloaded the page several times.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but are the editors not clicking outside of the field so that a change is detected?

Not a dumb question, yes they are clicking outside the fields, and there is no reaction, meaning the autosave is not triggered.

You may need to open a support ticket with Optimizely if you haven't already.
