mailto links have port 25 appended to them

We are using v12.  We have been noticing that mailto links that are entered into Url fields are being returned with backslashes and port 25  in the Content API Json. eg:

mailto:this@that.com becomes mailto://this@that.com:25

We'd like to remove the port from being returned in the json, as when you click this link, the email address used is this@that.com:25 ... which is not a valid email address.

I've seen a few other posts about this issue.

The reply from Opti support is that this is a known bug.  https://world.optimizely.com/support/Bug-list/Bug/?bugId=CMS-24930

They suggest that we remove the port in the Front End if we don't want to wait for the fix.
