Limitations and supported features in developer index?

Vote:

There doesn't seem to be documentation about the limitations and/or not supported features in the EPiServer Find developer index.

Marcus says in this thread that there is a 5MB file size limit in developer index.

The synonyms feature seems not to be supported either as it gives: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied when loading the Find UI (manage) when looking at the requests made when the UI is loaded (firebug or other tool).

Same if you try to add a synonym you can see that the post is made to: /[PROTECTED_MODULES_ROOT_PATH]/Find/proxy/_admin/synonym/

and you get the same Access denied response.

Any plans to support synonyms in developer index?

I do belive that sunonyms should be supported with a dev index. Could be that you need to add statistics to it though.

Go to http://find.episerver.com/MyServices and click the add statistics for the index your using.

I have the same situation with synonyms in developer index generating 403 error.

Is there any date decided for this update? This week, this month...?

Could I get synonyms to work in development in other way, while waiting for this update?

Is this problem with synonyms only for developer index?

If we start using correct/production index now, should the synonyms work then?

This is ONLY for development indices created on find.episerver.com. For production/test indices ordered from Hosting synonyms works.

@Petter: yes statistics are in use already.

@Per-Olof: production works without problems (as Henrik also stated)

@Henrik: Great to hear that dev index will start to support synonyms.

Would be nice if this information came up when ordering/creating the index.

Some kind of notice/dashboard with information regarding that these features are not included in the development index.
You could show som up-time maintinance info etc limitations etc there as well.

Any date set for the next release?
