Trying to optimize search query.

Hi,

I have a couple of documents that refer from other pages. Is possible to make one search query in Find that filters out documents that are not referred from other pages?

What we do today is search among all the documents we have on the web site. After we get the search result we then check each of the documents to see if it is referred in a property on all the pages on the web site.

Performance vice, this does not work well when we get many hits from the search engine at same time as the page tree is big.

Hello

Have you found this page: http://www.lindstromhenrik.com/indexing-only-referenced-vpp-files-with-episerver-find/

This conventions described removes all documents that are not referenced. The same method can be used if you want to get hold of all the unreferenced documents (for some reason).

The article is a bit old, so you should probably not use the servicelocator anymore, but besides that it should work for newer versions of find and cms.

Best regards

Torbjörn

I am sorry for late reply.

We built something similar to your proposal. Episerver Find has been used for two weeks now without any problems and everyone is happy.

Thanks for the help.
