XHTML editor question

A question about XHTML editor, when u put some text,picture whatever, it adds a <p></p> automatically, that's quite annoying, have to removed them manuallly. Is it possible to customize the editor a little, makes it not to add that <p> ?

One thing you could do is to choose to use DIV instead of P in admin mode under config tab / system settings / editing tab
