If I upload a word file into the documents catalog and later wants to edit the file, I right click on this file and choose "Check out". Then I choose "Edit in Office". After I have made my changes to the file, I choose "Check in" in Word. This works okay.
But if I now want to check out the version I first uploaded, I enter "Version history" on the word document. If I now right click on version 1 and choose download, the download window opens. The problem now is that the file has no extention. If I choose "Save", I have to add .doc to the file name.
I have tried on a demo site, and the same happens here..
