There's no built in feature for sending sms messages. You will need to find a sms service provider to do the actual sending. You should find someone who has a webservice available, so it will be easy for you to fetch the content and send it to the sms provider.

My customer wants the possibility to send out subscriptions through sms. Is there functionality supporting this in CMS 5?
