Ip Address Tracking

Vote:

Hi All

Is there any default table in Episerver where the ip addresses of the anonymous as well as registered users are saved. I am aware that you can get this information from  the .net request object and save it in the database. Just wanted to know if Episerver already had a module to do so,

Also is GEO IP only available in Episerver CMS6 R2 or is it availbale for CMS 6 also.

Your response is much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Sandeep

No, no IP addresses are saved.

The geolocation database is used in Visitor Gruop criteria which is a new feature in CMS 6 R2 so I'm almost certain it is not included in CMS 6 R1.

Even if you don't have CMS6 R2 you could actually get and use the same geolocation database, it's free.
