Hi, When I try to create a new user in the Admin mode of RC3 I get the following error: Unexpected Provider error at EPiServer.Security.WindowsMembershipProvider.UpdateUser(MembershipUser user) at System.Web.Security.MembershipUser.Update() at System.Web.Security.Membership.UpdateUser(MembershipUser user) at EPiServer.UI.Edit.UserMembership.SaveMembershipUser() at EPiServer.UI.Edit.UserMembership.SaveButton_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) Any suggestions? /Reine

Hi, I have made an attempt to simulate this error assuming that you are using either SqlServerRoleProvider and SqlServerMembershipProvider or Multiplexing Role and Membership Providers with provider1 as SQLServer Providers. However, I found it working here in RC3 release. Please provide more information on what providers were you using when you get the error. Best Regards, LN

The problem is when you have Multiplexing provider and try to create a user with a same name that exists in provider2 in web.config (For most cases WindowsProvider). The error is in code and how we created new users. This is fixed in next version of EPiServer CMS 5.
