I've been trying to find a solution to a bug with IE8 whereby text pasted using the text editor's context menu ends up at the start of the text area, regardless of the caret/cursor position when the context menu is invoked (ie. regardless of where in the text editor you right click). However, this problem does not occur when you paste over highlighted text.
It appears that when focus is lost from the IFrame containing the text editor (that is, when you select one of the options on the context menu), the caret/cursor position is not retained.
There seem to be solutions for custom text editors but not for EpiServer's out of the box text editor. I have spent a good few hours attempting to find a work-around to no avail. Has anyone managed to find a solution to this issue, or suggest a fix?
