Editing rights

Hi. Is it possible to implement editing rights on pages, based on language set for the current user? Example: The new editor should only be able to create and edit the english content on the pages the user has been given editing rights on. At the same time it should be possible to create editors that has the right to, say, publish pages for several (or all) languages. Frank :)

No, because all languages are stored in a single page (and acccess rights can only be set to individual pages, not properties or languages). It's a good point though.

Could you please look into this issue? I have now installed several multilanguage versions of EPiServer, and all of them is asking for this type of feature. Alternatively, could there be a way to implement it in today's version (4.31/4.40)? Frank :)

I have added this idea to our request database (issue #24425). We will look into it in the future.

Hi Could adding group/user rights on tabs in the edit-mode combined with putting the language specific properties on a tab for each language both fix the described problem and make the editor interface more easy to customize?
