Search metadata also in NativeFileSystem catalogues

Hallo EP!
It'd be nice if the Page Search control could also search among metadata of files residing in a "NativeFileSystem" catalogue (where all of our customer's documents reside).
Right now, to my understanding, the feature of searching metadata is only available for "VersioningFileSystem" catalogues (which appears to be intended for Workrooms only).
