Approval upon re-ordering pages under the same parent

Vote:

While teting approval workflows in EPi11 we have observed that when the order of pages within the same parent is changed approval is not required. We do strongly believe that this is something to be considered for future releases since changing the order of pages within the same parent may well influence the way navigation is presented within a web-site, which, in the end, can be considered a content change.

Hi Dzmitry

I think the Change Approvals add-on may solve your problem. This adds approvals for things such as moving pages (also language and access rights changes) in the page tree to ensure they are approved. Which I think is exactly what you are looking for?

Hi David,

Thank you for the response!

Unfortunately, this does not work with the Change Approvals add-on. Tried in Alloy and it did not work.

Have a great day!

Cheers,
Dzmitry

Hi Dzmitry,

The documentation for Change Approvals states
"The actions that can go through change approvals are changes to...the moving of pages and assets such as blocks, images, and media in the structure."

If it does not work, that's a bug. Can you please list your steps? Or open a bug report with the Episerver support team?
