Hi I'm in the process of releasing what can best be described as a preview of a larger update. The original site must coexist (preferably on the same server) with a version that has undergone major updates. My first idea is to put the "preview" in a virtual directory on the server, and then either point that directory to a different epi database, or simply point to another startpage in the same page tree. So my questions are. a) Is this possible (feasible)? b) How should the licenses be handled in such a setup? Will EPiServer treat this as separate sites (and require two licenses) or is that not necessary? (Not trying to avoid payment here, just trying not to pay for more licenses than I need)
