CMS R2 SP1 and SP2 coexist on same server?

We're having a dev server with CMS 5 R2 SP1 sites and want to leave them unchanged while creating new sites with CMS 5 R2 SP2. Can SP1 and SP2 be installed and coexist on the same server without interfering with each other?
