Moving off of Ektron - Archiving content

My company is moving our last site off of Ektron soon, but due to regulatory compliance, need to maintain access to a few years of content history including versions.

I'm looking for any direction or reference on possible way to handle this. Requirements are that we are not continueing to pay for Ektron as an Archive system.
