Only displays blocks "For this page" in in "Choose content" popup

Not sure when this happened but editors has noticed that you no longer can choose page from the page tree anymore on ContentAreas when selecting "Choose contentt" (Välj innehåll på svenska).
The workaround is of course to drag and drop the pagefrom the tree but I wonder if anyone knows when and why this was removed from the popup.
Images show what happens when you click "Välj innehåll" on an ContentArea that allows ArticleBlock and ArticlePage.

Have you added any [AllowedTypes] or any custom validation on ContentArea?

I have like this:

[AllowedTypes(AllowedTypes = new[] { typeof(ArticlePage), typeof(ArticleBlock) })]

And I have the same behaviour in two different solutions.

I just want to know if anyone else has this behaviour, i'm not even sure if you used to be able to choose from page tree in the pop-up, but the editors working in Optimizely claim so.

FWIW, also on 12.33.3, and I can select pages in a content area -- I've got mine set up to allow StandardPage and Blocks (if it matters, this content type property is defined via UI, for a quick test):

Thank you for chiming in! Ok, so I guess there's something weird that I'm doing after all.
