The episerver admin has the ability to create as many sites as you want bound to a domain. Each site points to a different root "Start page" therefore you usually have in the CMS editor page view
With each setup and bound to a domain in the Admin area. Each of these can have different editor permissions to allow access to specific groups of editors/publisher/marketeers.
Also each site can also be multilingual with different allowed language version per site. So there's flexibility of either seprate site structures or a single one if sharing a common information architecture but just separated by language.
If you have a server licence you could have multiple code bases although the standard approach is to have a single codebase. This is also a requirement if deployment on to the Episerver DXP infrastucture which requires a single codebase per DXP package.
Hi,
I am new to EPiServer and currently working on a large multi-sitecollection application in Sharepoint. We have multiple sitecollections with different editors, and where its important that they have separate page hierarchy. The sites are also using the same content types, fields and pagelayouts.
I am just wondering how you suggest the setup would be in EPiServer?
One EPiServer CMS for each site or is it posdible with a multisite CMS with separate pagehierarchy and separate access for editors?
