I agree, I've not heard any plans as yet to change this but you're not the first person that thought .NET 5 would have this. Hopefully something they'll think about for the future.

Are there any plans for introducing async
ExecuteinScheduledJobBase(or other approach for using proper async/await in scheduled jobs)?I know that there are workarounds for that using
.Resultor.GetAwaiter().GetResult(), but going forward with .Net 5 it would be great if this part of the system was aligned.
