System requirements for Optimizely
Sadly only Chrome is officially supported. I can ask the PM/development team to see why Firefox was not, and if we can add it in the future, but it'll be unlikely it will happen any time soon, if it ever will
And the answer I got from the PM is that no we will not support Firefox. That's unfortunate but we need to put our effort where it matters the most
Thanks for your quick reply! Then I know, as of version 12, do you no longer support Firefox - in any way.
Haven't tested your example but I use Firefox with all types of CMS versions and rarely notice any issues that are Firefox exclusive.
There is a difference between "works" and "officially supported". I can assume that the Editor UI would work pretty well on all modern browsers, but as we don't officially test and support anything other than Chrome, edge cases will not be covered/supported
That's a healthy approach! Anything that promotes organizations and users to update often is great.
In general, users are probably better off with the latest Firefox or Edge than a somewhat older Chrome.
Optimizely's CMS has previously supported Firefox (version 11), but now (version 12) it doesn't. For example, if you upload a pdf to the asset pane and download the same file - if you do it in Chrome it works fine. But in Firefox, the file gets corrupted (only 1 kB) and not possible to open. We would like the CMS to also work in Firefox.
